We’ve been keeping a big secret! Baby Girl Grieshaber arriving in November 2023 🎀 She’s kept Mom on her toes this whole time. She’s definitely her father’s daughter, so watch out! We can’t wait 💕

Floors and cabinets going in! Still on track for moving in mid-late July 🤯. Fingers crossed things keep moving on schedule! I’m counting down the days until I can get all of our light fixtures installed (my fav part) 😍

Update!

Life is absolutely crazy. You can’t control it, and it knocks the wind out of you sometimes. We took the most amazing trip to Hawaii, which was the most breathtaking place ever, and the day we got back to STL I got the call my Grandma did not have much time left. We immediately rushed to Jackson and made it just in time for me to be with her when she passed 🖤. Life doesn’t slow down during the grieving process, and our new house is being completed at record speed. We’ve been drowning trying to get our current house ready for market. Feeling like I haven’t been able to take a breath, I knew I needed to take a step back from @themabelreserve before I lost my mind 😵‍💫. Things are finally easing some (for now), so stay tuned for what we have coming!

These past few days have been a blur and it’s ha

These past few days have been a blur and it’s hard to believe she’s really gone. My Grandma was often misunderstood. She could be abrasive, and cold but if you knew her well enough you know that wasn’t the least bit true. She would always be the first one to tell me if she didn’t like my new haircut or my outfit, her honestly is one thing I could always expect and I grew to love. My Grandma and I had a very close relationship that most didn’t realize. She had a huge part in my life, and I’m so thankful that I grew up so close to her. I spent most of my childhood summers at her house. Barnes and Noble, the library, and Starbucks were our special places. We’d go to St. Francis Hospital to the ortho unit where she used to work and I’d get to see all of her nurse friends and drink all the Shasta soda I wanted. She also picked me up from elementary school most days (often with a french vanilla cappuccino waiting for me). She would even pick me up from high school before I could drive, but knew to park at American Ice Cream because being picked up by your Grandma wasn’t cool. She would come to all of my sports games, band and choir concerts. She also wanted to be involved in whatever Alec and I were collecting or interested in at the time so she could relate to us, whether it be beanie babies, scrapbooking, or even Pokémon cards. I took her on my college visit to SEMO, as she was a big reason of why I wanted to be a nurse. During college, I would meet her every Wednesday for lunch and we’d catch up on everything going on in my life. As an adult, our close relationship continued and I would call, visit, or send cards as often as I could. Whenever there was snow in St. Louis, she would always call me to make sure I made it to work okay. I never doubted that she loved me, and even though being with her in the moment she passed was the worst moment of my life I’m grateful that I could be with her and I know she will continue to watch over me 🦋
